As one of the biggest brands in the world, Google processes around 3.5 billion search queries every day. This makes it a great way to reach your potential customers through their advertising platform: Google AdWords.
In this article we’ll guide you step-by-step to creating your new Google AdWords account and using it with Adzooma.
Visit the Google AdWords website (adwords.google.com) and click on the green "Start Now" button.
Click the "Skip the guided set-up" link.
Enter your email address and choose your country. Your timezone and currency will automatically update when you choose a country. If they don’t, or if you’d like to change them, choose a new option from the dropdown menus.
When you’ve finished, click the blue "Save and continue" button.
If the email address you entered in the previous step is already associated with a Google account (if you’re using a Gmail account for example) then you will be prompted to sign in.
Enter your email address and password to sign in and skip to step seven.
If the email address you entered in the previous step is not already associated with a Google account, then you’ll be prompted to create one. Continue to step five.
If you don’t see the screen below, skip to step seven.
Complete all of the required fields on the form and click the blue "Next Step" button to create your Google account (this is a separate account to your new Google AdWords account, but you don’t need to worry about this for now).
After entering your details in step five, you’ll need to read the Privacy and Terms to the end and then click the button to confirm that you agree.
You’re all set up!
Congratulations! You now have a new Google AdWords account which you can link to Adzooma (click for instructions) and start creating your adverts.
Remember: you’ll need to add your billing details to your Google AdWords account before your newly created adverts will start to show to your customers.
